LAUNCH OF THE BUSINESS FLIGHT SIMULATOR
Friday February 29 2008, 11.00-14.00 at the Royal Society of Arts, London WC2N 6EZ
Metapraxis is working with CIMA and the BCS as participants to develop an entirely new approach to explaining fundamental financial issues such as:
- Why do apparently successful companies suddenly go bankrupt?
- What is the real difference between generating cash and declaring a profit?
- What level of pricing and advertising will maximise our bottom line?
Instead of presenting trainees with static financial schedules, the Business Flight Simulator involves them from the outset in running a fast-changing business. If you have ever watched a video game you’ll immediately understand the power of this new approach.
Metapraxis Chairman Robert Bittlestone will link this announcement to recent financial disasters such as the sub-prime credit crunch and the collapse of major businesses such as Enron and Northern Rock.
CIMA CEO Charles Tilley and BCS CEO David Clarke will explain the importance of this new development for business managers, IT experts and also members of the public, emphasising how it will cement their understanding of how business works and the language of commerce.
At the reception teams from CIMA, BCS, the Press and the audience will compete in the first ever Business Flight Simulator Challenge.
