RSA LondonUSER FEEDBACK

"Having just completed the free Business Flight Simulator, I feel I should take some time to supply some feedback.

I heard about Amplifying Intuition from Accountancy magazine in the "Whistleblower" section, making me dubious as to whether I would find the website useful as it is usually the part of the magazine to poke fun at accountants and the accountancy world in general. Despite this my curious and inquisitive mind would not let me pass the promise of making accountancy as easy as riding a bicycle.

I was pleasantly suprised, and dare I say even impressed with the website. Here is probably a good place to suggest that Metapraxis spreads the word far and wide as this was the first time I had heard of the concept, and it would have been easy to pass it by.

I am only of limited business experience thus far and I am not entirely sure who your taget audience is and what your business plan entails, but despite this I would hate to see an excellent concept die due to lack of publicity! Having started studying for the ACA last September, I am all too familiar with the dry textbooks and counter-intuitive ways with which some aspects of accountancy are taught. It was a breath of fresh air to have something interactive to experiment with, as well as some well-placed anecdotal humour.

In short, well done!"

RSA LondonUSER FEEDBACK

"An excellent demonstration of how businesses really work - especially cash flow. I am involved in funding early stage businesses and wish they had the benefit of your models, to demonstrate the effects of so many common problems such as under capitalisation, inadequate margins and the debtor/creditor time gap. Thank you very much for the opportunity to try this out. It's great to see the wood through the trees!"

London, February 29 2008. A major new breakthrough in business and financial training was presented at a meeting at the RSA in London today. The visual technology that powers aircraft flight simulators has now been applied to the world of business, making it possible for trainees to develop an immediate and intuitive understanding of financial cause and effect. The Business Flight Simulator enables users to create a company from scratch and if it goes bankrupt, to learn from that mistake and start again - all within the space of 10 minutes. The simulator runs on the Internet and can be applied to retailing, manufacturing, banking, insurance, property and other business sectors. Both individual and multi-player versions are supported, enabling players to compete with each other internationally by gaining market share. The simulator emphasises the continuing difference between profit and cash flow, helping players to understand this crucial distinction from an intuitive standpoint.
